OSINT Foundation Launches Resourcing/Policy Committee

03/20/2023

Today, the OSINT Foundation launches the Resourcing/Policy Committee, which is tasked with advocating for an OSINT program of record at each Intelligence Community element, and recommending appropriate strategies and policies for the OSINT enterprise at scale. The OSINT Foundation, which began operations on August 1, is the professional association for Intelligence Community OSINT practitioners.  Members of the committee represent a cross-section of both government and industry experts:

  • Rob Moore – Chair
  • Corrine Geiger
  • Ronald A. Marks, III
  • Dan Opstal
  • Jessica Stutzman

Barbara Alexander, the OSINT Foundation President, stated, “We are very happy to announce the launch of our Resourcing/Policy Committee. This launch follows our deliberate methodology where each of our committees builds on the work and work products of the others. As the Practitioner Committee has published initial definitions for the discipline and the Tradecraft Committee begins to develop recommended best practices for OSINT practitioners, the Resourcing/Policy Committee will turn its attention to the budgetary and policy processes across the IC and encourage the development and growth of identifiable line items for OSINT resources, which is the mark of a mature discipline. We are very thankful for our committee members who have so graciously volunteered their time and expertise.” Additional information on the Resourcing/Policy Committee is available on the OSINT Foundation website (https://www.osintfoundation.com/osint/ResourcingPolicy_Committee.asp).

Unless specifically stated, U.S. Government employees serving on OSINT Foundation committees and subcommittees are doing so in a personal capacity, and do not represent their agency, or the U.S. Government.
